Social Responsibility Description

Social responsibility is an ethical theory that suggests that any entity, be it an organization or an individual, has a duty to act in the interest of society as a whole. Social responsibility is something that every organization or individual must adhere to in order to maintain a balance between economics and ecosystems. A balance can be found between economic development, in the material sense, community welfare and environmental safety, although many reports during the first decade of the twenty-first century have been challenged. Social responsibility means maintaining a balance between the two. It involves not only business enterprises, but also all those whose actions affect the environment. It is a concept that aims to ensure health care for people living in rural areas and to remove all obstacles of distance, financial situation, etc. This responsibility can be negative, when avoiding engaging in socially harmful actions, or it can be positive, by engaging in activities that directly pursue social goals. Social responsibility must be inherited between generations, because the actions of one generation will have implications for the generations that come after it.
