LAVIA

LAVIA

-Erections are usually controlled by a balance of two body chemicals. The
first brings on erections; the second takes erections away.If the two
chemicals are out of balance, you can lose an erection before it starts.
- Vardenafil works by reducing the action of second chemical (PDE-5).
Vardenafil allows an erection to last long enough for you to satisfactorily
complete sexual activity. It is taken about 25 to 60 minutes before sexual
activity and it will only work when you are sexually stimulated.
-Vardenafil is rapidly absorbed after an oral dose, with a bioavlability of
about 15%, peak plasma concentration are attained with 30 to 120
 minutes.
-The rate of absorption is reduced when Vardenafil is given with a high-fat
 meal.
-Vardenafil is widely distributed into tissues and is about 95% bound to
 plasma proteins.
-Vardenafil is metabolised in the liver primarily by cytochrome P450
isoenzymes CYP3A4  as well as CYP3A5 and CYP2C isoform.
-The mean half-life of Vardenafil is about 4 -5 hours and the mean
clearance of Vardenafil may be reduced in the elderly and in patients with
 hepatic or sever renal impairment.
-Vardenafil is excreted mainly in the faeces (91- 95 %) and to a lesser
 extent in the urine (2- 6 %).
