- Spiramycin  is a macrolide bacteriostatic antibiotic with an
antimicrobial spectrum similar to that of Erythromycin and
  Clindamycin.
- Metronidazole, a 5-nitroimidazole derivative, is active against
various anaerobic bacteria and protozoa .
- The complementary combination of Spiramycin and
Metronidazole shows synergism in inhibiting certain sensitive
  bacteria involved in buccodental infections.
- Spiramycin is incompletely absorbed from gastrointestinal tract
and is widely distributed in the tissues. It has a half- life of about
8 hours. Spiramycin is metabolised in the liver to active
metabolites; substantial amount are excreted in the bile and about
10% in the urine. It is distributed in to breast milk.
- Metronidazole is readily absorbed after oral administration and
bioavailability approaches 100%. Metronidazole has a large
volume of distribution in the body. It  crosses the placenta.
- Metronidazole is metabolized in the liver and It’s elimination half
life is about 8 hours. The majority of a dose of Metronidazole is
excreted in the urine mainly as metabolites; a small amount
  appears in the faeces.

and clinical monitoring of levodopa is recommended.
